Practical life is the curriculum
This is the age where Montessori earns its reputation. Toddlers here pour their own water, wipe their own spills, carry their own plate to the sink and put on their own coat, badly and slowly at first. Every one of those tasks is a fine-motor workout disguised as helping.
Child-sized furniture, low shelves and real tools mean a two-year-old can do the thing without asking an adult first. Independence is not a lesson we teach, it is the way the room is built.
Potty training on your timeline
We follow your lead and stay consistent with whatever you are doing at home. No pressure, no charts, no shaming accidents. Most families find the peer effect does half the work, because a toddler who watches an older child use the bathroom decides to try it themselves.
Language, feelings and first friendships
Biting, grabbing and the word 'no' are all normal at this age. We name feelings out loud, coach the words to use instead, and stay close enough to intervene before a scuffle becomes a story you have to hear about at pickup.
